The ICube laboratory and the University Hospital of Strasbourg are looking for a candidate for a PhD position on drug interaction detection in medical ICU.
 
Context: Patients in intensive care units frequently exhibit multiple organ failures, which significantly alter the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of medications. Additionally, the necessity to administer multiple drugs increases the risk of significant drug-drug interactions. This research project aims to develop a computational system designed to identify, predict, and mitigate these interactions, thereby ensuring optimal and safe therapeutic management of ICU patients.
 
Start date: September or October 2025. Application deadline: early April 2025.
 
Candidates should hold a MSc in computer science or data science. They are advised to detail their experiences in data science in their application letters. On top of the usual application letter and CV, all elements that highlight outstanding achievements are more than welcome, eg. awards, recommandation letters, or at least marks and ranking. French speaking is not mandatory but convenient.
